Anyone else have a sense of dread that this summer could be horrible for us? We may win just enough have to drop out of that next tier of prospects or reach for someone in a weak draft. Verbeek will try to take a swing at a legit top 6 forward and if he misses, overpay a middling player and rush Sennecke to the NHL (or worse, overpay in a trade). Then to cap it off, he'll bring Cronin back on a multi year deal (assuming his contract is up). Hopefully that sense is just from having a bad weekend combined with the game from yesterday.
In an ideal world, he lands that top 6 forward, Sennecke is ready for the NHL, and the Ducks get a good coach. Push Killorn and Strome down to the 4th line and add a physical presence for that line and run with 4 lines that can play hockey.
