Drury is making no sense. Like he's making trades just to make trades.

One day, they are selling. They win a couple games, and suddenly they are buying. They lose a couple he's selling again. He's like a married couple getting ready to divorce, doing shit just to spite the other.

I think he's done quite well recently actually.

They are obviously buying/pushing for the playoffs. It's not always as simple as buying/selling. He's retooling and probably not done.

More likely the Parssinen swap and the 4th was for retention.

I didn't include Vesey because he's a UFA and he'll likely be riding the pine as the extra F. Parssinen would have been too but at least he's a guy we would have retained into next season.

I see you edited your post @Pierce Hawthorne . It's losing Parssinen in that deal that upsets me. We just gave up on him too quick - a huge 24 yr old C that has already shown upside and scoring touch. I don't think he'll be a superstar but could be a long-term 3C maybe even 2C upside if he hits.

Yeah I get the Parsinnen stuff maybe. But at the same time I dunno, I suspect he just is what he is, which isn't a very good player.

We'll see with him but 3 teams now in less then 6 months is usually not a great sign.

You may be right. But I wouldn't judge anyone poorly based on the Preds recent trajectory and for better or for worse, some players just get shunned and end up in Bednar's doghouse very early and can't get out. NYR identified this and pounced on the opportunity, so they clearly see something in him.
