He's my least favourite insider, because a lot of times he just seems to talk a whole lot without actually saying anything.
Then he periodically comes up with a scoop that no-one else has before him, and that reminds me of why I haven't stopped following his reporting.

I stopped paying close attention to him when he literally became pissed that Joe Sakic hadn't traded Duchene when he thought he should have. He was throwing temper tantrums on live TV.

If we can’t find a 2C, we at least should get a solid 3C
I like Laughton, good locker room guy who is sort of a utility man for the bottom six, but he's basically a 4C at this point. Doesn't really move the needle.

They already have Mitts and Drury. IMO, if they can't get an upgrade on Mitts, don't reach for a C just to get one. Go out and get a guy that can put the puck in the net like a Boeser, or a guy that is a known playoff performer like Marchand.

Agreed. We don't need a 3C. We arguably have 2 of them already. Get a proper 2C or a high scoring winger and hope they can carry Mitts

Drury is really a 4C, and Mitts is struggling, that would leave us with big hole at center. We need a good 2C or at least a good 3C IMO. Ideally we need both but that’s too much to ask for

Of course we do. He’s the first to break dozens of signings and trades season after season. He’s also proven to be closer to a lot of agents than most other “insiders” are, namely Brisson and Barry.
He gets shit wrong sometimes and goes to hell with some leafs stuff who he’s paid most of his money to report on but when people write things like “Dreger is a hack” or “Seravalli said KK was part of the Rantanen deal” it’s just laughable. Their track records aren’t 100% perfect but these guys clearly know and hear some shit.
