I simply find it pretty weird that people think having Kiviranta as a full time 3rd for a playoff run is sufficient.

We already all know that the 2C slot needs upgrading. I think we also all know that Malinski needs upgrading as well.

Oh shit actually yes, I read that first and thought the date was up until the TDL but actually it ended in the 1st day of March.

Well, my post above still stands. I f***ing dispise him as a character, but I would take a shot at him if he replaces Wood with basically the identical cap hit.

The chances of getting a #2 centre seem awfully low. Not impossible, but to upgrade on Mittelstadt will take a lot of effort to find a suitable partner and I see there are too many teams in contention at this moment to want to part from somebody that could get them above the line. Do we seriously think that Schenn is an upgrade? He's a lot more in-your-face attitude, but a lot dumber overall compared to Casey.

Kane is just an older, less liked version of Nuke. Good when actually on the ice, but often injured or suspended.

Evander Kane hasn’t been the same player since he sliced that tendon in his arm. Then you add in his personality, declining skating ability, and age - easy no.
