I'm glad that Cameron is at least willing to bring in Martone when the team needs offence...

But his quotes are so f***ing bad he makes it hard to ever give him any credit.

Wheeler thinks that Howe is most likely to come out, but I doubt it. For what it's worth, Nadeau, the team's only goal scorer, had the fewest minutes of any Canadian forward in the third period. Watch Cameron go back to scratching Rehkopf or something.

Didn’t he say last night that he can’t address it?

I don't blame Cameron for the roster, I do blame him in large part for the team playing below its potential. That said I imagine that he was quite happy with the roster that was decided upon.

Canada cutting Yzerman in 1991, which is akin to Canada cutting MacKinnon today, will never be topped.
I remember that - Mike Keenan took Dirk Graham instead, because that was his guy from the Blackhawks...

They are going to have an extremely talented player pool to pick from so it will be kind of hard to mess it up but I’m surprised Anholt is back as GM after picking a team so devoid of talent and scoring last year in favour of grinders and players that didn’t do anything to contribute. Also suprise Pogge is back considering how mismanaged the goaltending situation was last year

Cameron is a decent selection as coach. His teams have played structured and he has got a lot of buy in from skill players to play physical. But if his management of Bedard two years ago is anything to go by, potential draft eligible players in contention such McKenna or Martone should not be expecting to play a major role on this team
I posted this in July, I am horrified how this has played out almost exactly to a T😭

You sit Cowan right? he was very undisciplined last game and needs a wake up call.
Nope. As one of the more talented players on this team he should be playing but maybe after a good talking too (+ others on the team) from coaching staff. Plus maybe a shuffle of the lines, I don't feel Cowan and Ritchie have had any chemistry so far.

As a Jets fan I have both liked and been a bit disappointed with Yagers' game.

He has been very dependable on the D side of the puck and has been one of the few Canucks that have been able to make a decent pass. But like the rest of the team, no offense to speak of. And where is the shot?
It's interesting (and disappointing) that his production in the WHL has not translated to this tournament.

Yager hasn't used his "bomb" in this tourney yet

Do we think Cameron was Hockey Canada's first choice or did better coaches turn it down? If he was their first choice, that's obviously not great. But if better coaches are turning it down, why? The ridiculous scrutiny? The lousy management?

I will never cheer against Canada ever But part of me doesn’t want this mgmt group to puff their chest out for being so smart. I have watched so many coaches at all levels try to be the smartest guy in the room by overthinking things.

Pick the most talented guys with work ethic and desire to win every time. They will figure it out. Less talented guys just can’t get there consistently when needed most.

I think even if they win they won’t be allowed to get away with it. Based on the age groups, Canada should win this easily, none of USA Sweden or Finland has impressive rosters on paper and there’s a lot of Canadian talent amongst the relevant years. They’ve already lost a couple games so even if they go 3/3 and get gold it’s still only just a pretty good performance.

I don't think Cameron is doing good at all but how is it his fault that Cowan runs a guy from behind with 7 mins left and Pinelli punches a guy in the head going for a check. I still don't understand who decided Cowan is Canada's go to guy.... I thought this tweet summed it up nicely........ I’m unsure why the burden of Team Canada lies on a 28th overall draft pick from 2 years ago that no one knew about until the Leafs selected him and most analysts had him as a 3rd round pick.

“if you do something stupid again, I’ll send you home early” would be a message that should be sent to people who are taking stupid penalties. Instead we get “I got nothing” from Dave Cameron lol
