Definitely a tighter game. First power play was very choppy for both units. Hopefully there will be several penalties both ways to get the special teams units some practice.

Been loving the way Schaefer communicates out there, always talking and pointing. I think Canada’s going to rely on him a lot, even as a 17 year old.

A bit of running around for Canada prior to the second Swedish goal.

TSN has been highlighting McKenna and I do have to say he has bee the most noticeable forward for me.

I haven’t loved Canada’s passing or poise with the puck. Too many individualistic plays and rushing things, can’t get much going on the cycle.

This team does not have enough depth scoring. The Luchanko and Beaudoin lines create nothing, not like it hasn’t been foreseen
Luchanko has not looked very good. I also must say that through nearly five periods Cataford has been the clear worst forward. I wonder if he has fully recovered. Yager's line on the other hand I think needs more ice time. Canada's main strength is is forward depth, needs to be used. Especially when neither of the top two lines appears overpowering.

I expect that McKenna is giving the coaching staff a bit of a problem. They need him in the lineup but the LW is the stronger wing on this team.

Ritchie-Cowan and Catton-McKenna are just about the only forward combos doing anything. Yager's been alright too.

I have to assume Dickinson isn't going to see any ice time in the real tourney, since Price and Akey are inexplicably getting PK time over him.

Dickinson had to play both USports games and then was scratched in the first game, so reading between the lines it seems that they aren't all that high on him. To be fair he hasn't been notable when he has played since the camp began.

That is probably a fair assessment of the forwards too.
