The front office failed the team by shorting the organization with a compliment of at least 12 NHL forwards.
Inexcusable.
In 21 months:
Forwards jettisoned / left:
8: Vilardi, Iafallo, Kupari, PLD, Grundstrom, Lizotte, Arvidsson, Kaliyev. 9, counting JAD waived.
Incoming from outside organization forwards last 21 months:
3: Foegele, Jeannot, Lewis

Yes, we have all wanted AHL graduates that can play:
Laferriere, Turcotte. But, Helenius, Lee, Thomas should not have been counted to play a role this season.
Studnicka? Not sure to even count him. Count him and they're still short.
Management failed and kind of handcuffed Hiller into icing 10-11 NHL forwards each night.
God forbid you have any injuries. And, Lewis and Jeannot are honestly not as good as 6 on the departed
list. Kupari was never an earthshaker...but man, would he be great about now, on line 4.
So? The Kings are floundering and staying in 3rd, only because Vancouver is floundering...yet jst beat the Kings. And it seems like the trade target types of: Evans, Armia, Laughton, Donato are the types that
should have been added last offseason...at least 1 that calibre. So, if they can even land a Marchessault
or Rackell, they are still down at least 1 quality bottom 6 NHL player.
I suppose if they can land 2 players - Rackell and Evans, that will go a long way.
I got a disturbing DM on X that seems to indicate that media may be soon softening
fanbase for a Clarke move. Not sure how legit it is. If Clarke is to be dealt, they had sure
better get the kind of return Jiricek got: #1, #2, #3, Daemon Hunt.
I think MTL and BUF may be interested....I say get Tuch and Byram...or Cozens and Byram. Add Moore and Cozens retained rest of year.
And they retain some and only if Tuch extended. Jokiharju was a healthy scratch last game...weird, in that he had 2 goals this past week. I'd prefer Byram, ofc.
MTL? I would want their #1 2025, no protection and Evans...and not their #1 2025 Calgary.
But ask for Demidov and Calgary #1 would be amazing. Maybe Clarke + 3rd for Demidov and Cal #1.
Demidov leading his KHL team in scoring at age 19. Has that ever been done?
I think he could come over in April.
