125m or something for WirtzFrimpong was done too?
How much is the rumoured price? I don't see any risk with him. Might be rich deal but he's top class
30m for Frimpong

I mean the closest signing to this that LFC have done would probably be when they got Fernando Torres? And that was like almost 20 years agoGenerational move if it ends up happening. Slam dunk.
Van Dijk and Alisson?I mean the closest signing to this that LFC have done would probably be when they got Fernando Torres? And that was like almost 20 years ago
Wirtz just turned 22. Virgil was 26 when he joined LFC. Alisson was 25. So Wirtz like Torres (23 when he joined) were entering their primes. Virgil and Alisson firmly in their primes. Also kind of tough to compare attacking players to defensive players. Not completely unfair comparison thoughVan Dijk and Alisson?
Good thing the first targets worked out really well too! I think the lesson is just to let Michael Edwards cookThe thing that makes me nervous is that we have immense success signing our second or third targets. Like if we signed Bellingham we wouldn’t have signed Mac or Szobozslai. These second targets often wind up being better than the first target. We haven’t signed a first target since van Dijk, Fabinho, and Alisson.
I mean buy young get good isn’t a plan. Well I guess technically it is. But if your only play is buy young get good…It literally fits in the long term build process.
I gotcha. Wasn't sure exactly how you meant it.Wirtz just turned 22. Virgil was 26 when he joined LFC. Alisson was 25. So Wirtz like Torres (23 when he joined) were entering their primes. Just enjoy it. Soak it in.The thing that makes me nervous is that we have immense success signing our second or third targets. Like if we signed Bellingham we wouldn’t have signed Mac or Szobozslai. I think Wirtz is better than Bellingham. Not sure if this is a hot take or not.Just enjoy it. Soak it in.
Those players succeeded in part because of the infrastructure and culture that has been built. I'm a big Bellingham fan but Wirtz is on another level in terms of the creativity that will help unlock other parts of the squad.
This is gonna be one hell of a memorial day weekend.
I agree. He's been a personal favorite of mine for awhile now (As is Jude tbf). I don't feel the need to compare though and it obviously looks like a homer take with the situation right now.I think Wirtz is better than Bellingham. Not sure if this is a hot take or not.
He already found a house, allegedly. This one’s done unless Leverkusen asks for 200 milChelsea have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever here
Oh yeah, hilarious.Chelsea have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever here
Caicedo bought a whole apartment block on the Mersey, ended up just using it for rent revenueHe already found a house, allegedly. This one’s done unless Leverkusen asks for 200 mil
They desperately wanted him anywhere other than Bayern. I bet it gets done well below the 150m that keeps getting thrown around. He already found a house, allegedly. This one’s done unless Leverkusen asks for 200 mil
I think I read that the last time Leverkusen sold to Bayern was Michael Ballack and Ze Roberto (same window). That was the year 2002 which was before Wirtz was bornThey desperately wanted him anywhere other than Bayern. I bet it gets done well below the 150m that keeps getting thrown around.
Yes, pay the 25 million for Sancho!Chelsea have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever here
Lucio was 2004.I think I read that the last time Leverkusen sold to Bayern was Michael Ballack and Ze Roberto (same window). That was the year 2002 which was before Wirtz was born
Not at all a hot take. Wirtz is silky smoothI think Wirtz is better than Bellingham. Not sure if this is a hot take or not.
Right , but Amorim’s system is so specialized, he could be spending 8, 9 figures on players that will be useless to the next guy. And if United miss Europe again that is going to be a disaster for them on and off the pitch. There is going to be an enormous leap of faith here. I don’t think it’s hyperbole that if United botch this they could do a Leeds.
I feel Chelsea will spend those funds for Wirtz on Osimhen instead if they're big-name hunting.Chelsea have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever here
He isn't. Jude has more game-breaking talent, but Wirtz is definitely not far behind.I think Wirtz is better than Bellingham. Not sure if this is a hot take or not.
Already mentioned, Chelsea are the favourites and it sounds like it's pretty close.Delap apparently now also wanted by Chelsea, Newcastle, and Everton. Kid got relegated and gets to pick where to play. Lucky kid.
