Give or take a couple of years? Around 2014? For starters, a couple is two. And 2010? 2007??? LOL. And Arsenal have been spending quite a bit for the better part of the last decade. There were rumors of United interest some months ago and the kid is apparently a United fan but United dropped interest a while ago. There's players in the academy teams for his position like Jim Thwaites and Amir Ibragimov, both 17. Both highly thought of.

Sucks to lose the younger guy to re-sign the 2 older guys but it's definitely the right call. So many guys these days in all sports not only playing to very advanced ages but also playing well. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Salah and VVD were still Liverpools best players 5 years from now. As long as Salah is playing like this they have got to be title favorites. If Arsenal doesn't sign a legit 25 goal scorer we should just hand them the title again next season.
