2025 Summer Transfer Rumors and Discussion Closed Window

Notes from James Pearce article:

LFC want to get "younger, faster, more dynamic" (duh)

GK - ok
RB - if Trent leaves (lol)
LB - looking at Kerkez and/or Hato
CB - depends on Virgil and Konate (and Gomez) ; Hato cover here too. Not mentioned in article but Huijsen release clause has been previously mentioned (a lot of Bournemouth)
CM - core is in place but could look for a duel winner/pace and power; still no names
FW - one if Salah stays, maybe more than one if Salah goes.

Mentioned the more extensions get done, the less business will be done. But the thing about that is this was not mentioned due to personnel; it was mentioned that any extensions will significantly eat into the transfer budget. So the excuses are already starting.

FSG still believe in their model so we are still going to see Net Spend-ish and following the data to try and find pre-breakout players as opposed to "finished products"

So yeah. LFC better win the league this year because this summer is going to get ugly.

Would keep the expectations low. This is going to be (triple) Mookie Betts all over again. FSG does not care about winning titles. They just want to be competitive and let the chips fall where they may.

I have no expectation to be fair. I take this year as positive as I can knowing next year there are significant chances it goes all south.

Thanks for translating. Wasn’t sure if it said Chelsea was buying both Atleti and Madrid and both would be sharing Enzo after splitting an 80 million fee which Chelsea was going to use to cheat PSR.

More power to Madrid if they go after him. Would love to see them spend big bucks again just like they did with Bellingham. Meanwhile, Camavinga has 770 minutes in the league.

Surprised Sporting agreed that fee for both. Maybe there are variables involved.

Glad I avoided a Quenda trade in my fantasy league.

Or if he completely changes his attitude and mindset. But that's not gonna happen.

You won’t care about the Defending when he is dropping in bombs for Mbappe every week. You’ve signed a great one.

LFC have known about this for months but this was pretty much the worst kept secret in the sport. This is a very bad loss for LFC on and off the pitch on multiple levels. Think it’s a bad signal for Salah and Virgil, (especially Salah), being extended as well. Hopefully they can close the league out because they are going to need to hit the reset button this summer

He won’t have VVD covering for him and the Madrid fans aren’t going to be as understanding as Liverpool. After all he is one of their own. So they defended him better than he defended for Liverpool.

We defended because he is a trophy winning player. LFC going to miss him a lot. If he messes up at Madrid that’s going to be his problem, but that doesn’t change LFC are hurt badly by his departure
