Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season IV - Kristian Campbell sent down to Worcester

That Passan piece says initial plan was Bregman at 2B

After an underwhelming spring training the Red Sox still moved forward with Kristian Campbell on big league roster which threw a wrench into everything. With Campbell demoted, how'd that organizational plan go?
I thought that Passan article was fantastic. Whether or not you were planning on playing Bregman at 2B or 3B is beside the point however. You still need to effectively communicate with your players. That's Management 101 shit..

FO would be better off running a Twitter poll prior to OKing a trade than trusting their instincts.
I was kidding about me but the Narvaez deal looks good

The Devers deal was complex

Crochett deal with health was a very good deal

I’d wait till off-season see where they are

Giolitto finally has his FB back

Buehler looking shaky

The saddest part of this whole fiasco is that two things are true,

1. Devers was selfish, it affected the team, and they probably didn’t get enough value for him.

2. Management is out of touch and Breslow has a lot to do in order to gain the fans trust.

I could kiss Passan on the lips
One of the best articles I've read in a while.

As an outside observer, its become more clear to me that Red Sox OWNERSHIP want to emulate the Milwaukee/Tampa/Cleveland front office.......while Sox FANS want them to operate more like the Phillies/Yankees/Mets.

Its possible to do both (ie: The Dodgers), but the trust between ownership and the fan base is just gone.

Left-handed one dominant unhittable pitch a fastball with unusual spin

Screw the ‘pitching lab’ make him a 2 inning (once thru the lineup) twice a week 6-8 inning spot killer like Andrew Miller was here before traded to Baltimore

The guy was rated 26 OA as early as last year in MLB top prospects

He lacks secondary stuff but electric fastball

The player was entitled with a shit ton of money that the management should of never given him.

It was a mistake for all of them

Probably true, but personally, I never begrudge a guy getting what someone is willing to pay them……but, I do have a problem when they don’t hold up their end of the bargain, and I’m not even taking stats.

A guy could be paid 3x his worth, and not play well, but if he’s a professional, and a good teammate, I won’t have a problem with him.

All I want out of a player is for them to care like I care and do their best. It’s why I can’t really get mad at guys like Patrick Brown when he’s playing with the bruins. I think he cares and tries, he just kinda stinks! It is what it is!
