Red Sox/MLB 2025 Regular Season II

Record in 1 run games is a direct reflection of the manager imo
I mean, not necessarily. If you have a bad bullpen and guys who can't produce a clutch hit that's not a managerial problem. Stop pretending like firing Cora solves everything.

Clearly Alex Cora's fault
Individual events like looking at 2 straight fastballs to K with the bases loaded, dropping a fly ball, basic base running to 3rd, not covering 1st base on a grounder to the right side and yanking a throw to the plate instead of turning an easy DP are all on the respective players.

But the MANAGER’s job is to keep this team focused and enforce a minimum standard. He’s gotta get these guys’ attention and keep them mentally sharp. Right now, they are in a daze and they are massively underachieving. I’d be flipping some trash cans right now. Might also be time for a Players Only meeting. If this team had any leaders in the locker room, that is….

Getting some positional consistency on the infield is a start.

Devers sitting on bench as Hamilton plays 3B for first time ever lol

I’m thinking they don’t want to expose Anthony to this chaos

Devers selfishness F’d up everything ~ he helps out and plays 1B they have Anthony up and probably win 2 of 3 in Milwaukee

Unbelievable mess

Wait till Bregman opts out to get out of this drag

The Devers' hot streak has been nice but I don't even count him. This team is literally rotten though.
Selfishness aside, he's been one of the best hitters in all of baseball since that horrible start to the season, especially in May.

They've got to pay him. He's shown his career Fenway numbers aren't an anomaly only playing 7-10 games there a year.

They have no plan at 3rd for the future. There is no reason the move Mayer there.

With his behavior, weight and shoulders i do not pay him a penny more.
