Something about Middlebrook’s voice irks me, and I think Youk did a better job of analyzing the game.

Neither is nearly as good as Merloni though.

Agreed that Merloni is better-though overrated I think. Nesn could use different broadcast teams and to tone down the homerism at least a little. I liked Eck, but have not really enjoyed the broadcast since Remy and Orsillo.

Amazing that a team as talented as the Dodgers lets a position player pitch, but hey, it happens. (Who remembers Canseco hurting his arm)? Starting pitchers, particularly ace level guys, seem to get hurt more in this glorious age of analytics and limited throwing but more throwing programs.

He should grieve about the loss of his future MLB career. If he wasn't a lefty, he would not be in the majors. As it is, he should be outrighted to Worcester. Instead, they use a convenient bereavement leave and probably have no idea how to open a spot when it ends.
