I have been told that Slaf elevates his game when it matters, so I will go with him and Heineman. I don't know what to expect from Demidov playing with Newhook and Laine.

We’ve discounted the one-Armia, if he’s healthy he’s a playoffs type. Maybe he’s healed and is back to being a two-Armia. He and Heinemann are due.

I feel like Anderson could be one. Already the bigger, stronger players tend to perform better in the playoffs when everything becomes tight checking and more physical. The speed he has, to go along with his size, makes me think he could be a difference maker, and add some depth scoring.

I think that Washington’s physicality could cost them some penalties. Goaltending is on par at best and if I had to pick a goalie I’d go with Monty. He’s been better for the last couple of months. The size difference will be the bug question but I really think they’ll handle it well

The Habs stock pile of picks over several drafts (even before Hughes) is very impressive. It's almost impossible for other teams fans to belittle our future hope/growth at this stage.

For the series against the Caps, we need to play sound D and limit them to 2 goals or less a game. Difficult but that is the recipe for success. Trying to beat them 5-4 is a bad strategy.

Habs need to force things to the outside in our own zone and capitalize with our chances (especially on the PP). Need to get more shots even if it's a shot into traffic.

Considering they had young Gretzky, Kurri, Messier, i am more than OK with Habs being 2nd.
