pierre Maguire's really been talking up how the Caps are going to try to pound us. He thinks we'll need Xhekaj and Anderson for push back. Says on Monday for the first 5 minutes Caps are going to be running around trying to hit hurt us
Suzuki...Caulfield ....Armia ...Josh Anderson ....Gally.....all was in 2021 playoff Cup final run .

Vegas Golden Knights was a heavy team , supposed to destroy us physically remember .? We got past them .

If Lindgren is in the net I think we have a chance

Of it’s Thompson I don’t see us winning that series

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Our biggest issue in a best of 7 is the other team can fully attune itself at exploiting the flaws we have all over the roster. Their biggest issue would be to not take us seriously however.

this will be great experience for all these young players. I think we can beat Washington, I hope we can at least make it interesting.

If we add a legit 2C next year we could be really dangerous. Absolutely love what management has done.

Washington's performance of 11 to 1 on a back to back vs Columbus and having their ass handed to them physically, was a total embarassement. I don't know how they can go in the playoffs with their head up high.

I dont buy into the hype on them at all, It is for the most part a group of decent players that way overperformed. They should beat us, but i really wont be surprised if we find away to get the job done.

Montreal is the youngest team to ever make the NHL playoffs. Let's remember that. Yes, we have some veterans, but this team is carried by its youth.

Demidov: 19
Slafkovsky: 21
Heineman: 23
Caufield: 24
Newhook: 24
Suzuki: 25

Hutson: 21
Guhle: 23
Struble: 23
Xhekaj: 24

Then spares: Roy - 21, Kapanen - 21, Dobes - 23.

That's insane! Half of our team is between the ages of 19 and 25.

Check the 1986 Habs when they won the Cup.

By the numbers listed there, the average age both reg season and playoffs was around 24. Must be close to the youngest team ever to win the Cup with a young Patrick Roy in net.

Evans was there too, remember the WPG games. Plus Newhook has a SCF ring. Laine had a deep run in 2017.

Big Savy has some 50ish games and a cup ring, plus a lot of games as a top pair D for upsetting teams.

On paper Washington has the better team.
However they have been playing badly since Ovie record.

Demidov Hutson will need their A game.

We had Weber, Chiarot, Edmundson and Petry on the back end to stop them + of course Carey Price.
Yeah exactly. If the best goalie of his generation didn’t smother the puck, those 4 had the size to clear rebounds and punish opponents in front of the net. The Leafs who were a laughing stock physically. This Caps team is bigger and better than those Leafs and the Habs are smaller and much less experienced than the 2021 team.

If we have to replicate a team it’s the 2010 Habs with Halak. But even then, that Caps team could score at will but were shit defensively.

That is why, having Xhekaj in the line up could help. But who is out ? Struble ???
