Devin Williams is also a massive upgrade over Clay Holmes as their closer. I think they might have fleeced Milwaukee in that deal.

I still think Boston needs to address their bullpen. I didn't like that Chapman signing at all, for a variety of reasons already pointed out.

Whitlock is important…..Hendricks would be an amazing story. If he could have one highly successful Magic season he could be a legend here

I'm pulling for Hendricks and I'm hoping for a full comeback. He's been through a lot and I wish him nothing but the best. He was a huge favorite with White Sox fans back in 2021-22 and he'll be a big hit in Fenway as well if he can get back to old form. I think its a longshot, but I'm rooting for him.

He did give up a lot of HRs though, when he was a closer in Chicago playing in a pitchers ballpark. That might be a problem in Fenway.

Whitlock can be a closer, if he stays healthy.
Slaten is damn good as well.
I am pulling for Hendricks as well, would be a great story if he can save 30 games for us.
Guerrero will surprise us this season, he has a great arm.

Generally respect your takes but Chapman went far beyond anything that Payton or Puckett ever did. None are/were perfect gentlemen but what Chapman has admitted to in the past is entirely disgraceful.

Not going to argue at all, as they have all done very bad things --- like about 98% of fans, I'm still going to follow the team and hope for success.

How much better and whether his $30+ million could have been used more efficiently is up for debate, IMO.

What a weird rant to post the day after they signed one of the premier free agents on the market and went over the CBT threshold.

You want to give them a star for signing one guy after years of trash incompetence in the front office , if this team was serious they would’ve signed Soto.

Yes, I think the team should generally be praised when they acquire good players.

Also, I think if the Red Sox (...or anyone else) had bid $800 million for Soto, the Mets would have gone to $850 million.

Would be great if they were able to move Yoshida and trade for Arenado. Balances the lineup, moves Devers to DH and greatly improves the infield defense. Only risk is blocking Campbell for the time being but might be worth it.
