Seravalli has Rantanen ranked last on his trade board. Said his sources are telling him the Canes have no problem keeping him as a rental unless he declines their contract offer and they get a great offer from a team for him that justifies the move.

Probably safe to assume he's staying there.

I think we need another defenseman who has the trait of a good breakout passer/playmaker.

At the moment Harley is our only defender who is good at transitioning the puck. Maybe lindell, but I class him more as smart rather than a great player with pass breakout ability

I know it's another lefty but man I'd like Provorov. Think he is the perfect 2nd pair D man on this team. Offer the Jackets a 2026 1st and a prospect and go all In. Maybe unlikely given its important the jackets to make the playoffs in such an important year for them. I just read his contract talks at a stalemate...so thought mayybbbe.
