I’m not sure I love Granlund on a ‘4th’ line since he’s a solid playmaker, but he still hasnt gotten a goal w us, so I guess it’s worth shifting him around the lineup.

I think they will initially want to put Rantanen with Hintz as they have some connection(and is obviously a top line guy)

But, I would consider putting him on a line with a simialir make up to his dominant line with Mackinnon and Landeskog.

Benn playing a similair role as Landeskog and Wyatt as a right handed play making centre. Get that lefty/right chemistry going with Wyatt

Allows Dallas to keep the centre depth.

Borque to the 4th line when Seguin returns.

There are probably so many combinations that could work. PDB should figure out and settle on one quickly so the chemistry can start to develop.

When Segs is back, bump Mav down to the 4th line.

I think you gotta see if Wyatt and Rants gel quick because then you could have two excellent duos in the top 6 and can plug and play others with them depending on who is going and who we are playing.

The true fun thing to consider is the top PP unit has finally gotten red hot after swapping out Miro and Benn.* Do you dare mess with it given the addition of a guy like Rantanen? Do you dare leave off a guy who might now be the best goal scorer on the team? Tough decisions ahead.


* DeBoer gets pretty touchy if you suggest the personnel changes are the reason for the improvement. He wants us to think it was entirely due to Spott telling them to go score goals.

I agree w where you and catters opinions are here- let him feel things out with WyJo for sure.
It’s hard to bust up Robo/Roope and if you take WyJo away from Benn you neuter him a little. We’re a series of pairs that can work with a variety of playing styles and tbh you could flip that right side around between lines to shake things up.

I wish these tv/internet people would quit talking about how we’re their faves to win it. Where you been?
