He's about to be 29 and he's having the best season of his career -- one that he's likely not ever going to replicate given the opportunity for premium icetime he's gotten in CHI. He should 100% be looking for term. This is his best (and last?) shot at a long term deal.

Yep, and I hope he gets it. He seems like a good teammate and he works his ass off.

While I can’t stand him on Bedard’s line I hope nothing for the best for the guy…..

I wouldn't mind them dealing Donato for w.e. they can get, and then signing him to a decent deal in the offseason. He'd be a good player to keep around. He has said he would prefer to find a home instead of going elsewhere, so maybe he gives a discount.
