Zegras only has one more year under contract before he's an RFA. While I'm not the biggest Boeser fan, I'd rather they just sign him since it only takes money vs picks and money like it does for Zegras.

why not get all of them, we have cap to burn, we have a boatload of picks and prospects, Zegras could easily find himself back at a ppg type of pace with a change of scenery, he wasn't a Verbeek pick iirc, we know how that can go for a player

I'd wait one more year before giving up any picks/prospects. Right now I'd just spend the money to bring in talent, because like you said, they have more than enough of it. Keep all the lottery tickets in picks/prospects that you can in the meantime.

this organization should've learned a long time ago that you need to be patient with young players, team is in last, why bail on a 22 year old former 1st round pick unless a really good opportunity presents itself, and they've had subpar coaching staffs the entire time he's been up, maybe he would thrive in a guy like Mike Sullivan's system, and even if he does peak as a bottom 6 forward he should still project as an above avg player in that role

I mean yea Reichel’s been nothing but a disappointment since his rookie year, but I think he had the tools to be a speedy, responsible bottom sixer with 30-40 point upside. I’d rather give him a chance

Keep Reichel. He’s 22 but hasn’t fully developed physically. If he still hasn’t figured it then, oh well it was worth finding out. His style fits with the teams direction.

52mins with Bertuzzi = plenty?
27mins with Nazar = plenty?
30mins with Donato = plenty?

And it's not like these mins are consecutive mins, where they could build any sort of chemistry.

Zegras isn’t going to be a crazy cost. Guy has fallen off since his 2023 season. Only 30 pts in this and last season combined (roughly 66 GP)
