The fact they traded him while he was injured makes me think this too. Who knows. Maybe they were doing him a solid and helping him get anpther Cup before the rebuild here. Sorry to see him go. He’s a HOFer for sure and gave his all as a Bruin. His play in 2011 as a rookie was simply outstanding

I’m not buying that there’s any real indication either way. It’s totally possible he could be back next year.

To me they aren’t bad players per se, just for some reason the whole team chemistry is completely off this year. They just never meshed even when they were playing better

None of them would make top 6 on a cup contending team.

Next step for Sweeney is to figure out who our next Head Coach will be. That's suddenly become a very big decision. If he nails that move, then I'm willing to forgive him for this past summer's dumpster fire....
