Yeah and how’s Billy Zito even allowed to be on that list, he only drafts and trades for dirty asshole players. He’s made a team for mortal combat maybe but not the pure sport of ice hockey.

Toronto's off-season strategy was quite literally to just sign all of our UFAs that we couldn't afford to keep.

I don't think there is any way the Panthers can keep Marchand. I think keeping Ekblad and Bennett is possible if they're willing to be like Forsling and Reino and take deals that are just a little team friendly.

I'm kinda worried about keeping Mikkola after that, though. The national media has suddenly realized that this guy is good and they are pumping him hard. This is where we're gonna need Bob to give us a discount for past generosity.

Mikkola still has a contract until 2026, same as Bob. I don't get why people are worried. Bob will not get anything close to 10 Mil anywhere in this league. Mikkola of course will get a raise, but we can trust in Zito and the character of our guys. He still is "only" a number 4 Dman, our Finns love Florida, so it should not be anything astronomical for a guy that is very good defensively and a true PO performer but has 11 points in 61 PO games and 62 points in 328 regular season games.

Yes, I mean, I'm already thinking about our next crop of UFAs after this one, which will include Bob and Mikkola. I think the Knight trade forced the team's hand on the goaltending situation: we are ride or die with Bob.

Yeah, I don’t see how they can keep Marchand unless he plays at an extreme discount, and/or is willing to sign a one year deal.

With the rising cap and weak UFA group, I think you'll be surprised.

Everyone has more money this offseason. Bit guys will be overpaid by teams that miss out on the top end FAs.

Didn’t watch the first game in this series.
But this game doesn’t have the intensity or
Physical nature of a Panthers game.

Dallas has the horses but constantly plays from behind.
