I would not mind it at all if the teams in front of the Ducks reach for Smith, McQueen and Bear that high thus letting the Ducks pick between Frondell, Desnoyer the destroyer and Mrtka.

Same. He's 6'2 and its looking like he may be the BPA depending on how the draft unfolds. I think its highly unlikely one of Frondell/Desnoyer/Mrtka drops to the Ducks.

I don't know if O'Brien will be there either, honestly. At least at 9, I mean.

IMO McQueen is going to drop right into that sweet spot that is where the Ducks will be picking (unless they win the lottery). We'll see if his upside is too irresistible for them to pass on him. If the medicals turn out ok I think they'll probably take him as the highest upside player available at their draft spot.

I think ur right, I looked at draft order again and I can't see Pittsburgh passing on O'Brien.
Doesn't seem like they'd start their rebuild with McQueen or Mrtka.
I also wonder if O'Brien goes sooner if Buffalo passes on Eklund for O'Brien.

For the 2nd round I kind of hope they either pick one of the RDs that fell out of the first or a Goalie.
I think in a weaker draft goalies might be worth drafting in the 2nd.
