What do you think of Carter Bear? I see Seth Jarvis type?

I like him with the 2nd first rounder. Not sure he's as skilled as Jarvis but the motor and hard nose game is bigger.

Yes, he plays with Djurgardens IF in Allsvenskan, but is currently injured - again. He missed the back half of last season and Hlinka due to injury. Ankle, I think. I'm not sure what his current injury is.

Draft eligible Victor Eklund is playing 1st line RW for them, too. He plays with terrific pace & can be relentless in his pursuit of the puck. He's currently under valued, imo.

Yup. He's been out a lot. I'm a little concerned at this point. Like McQueen, he's probably a pass just based on how often he is injured.

If he's there at the Calgary pick then fine.

Doubt Bear is there in 2nd round. He's putting up big numbers. I would take him with Miami/Flames pick or Montreal acquires another first.

I don't have him quite in the top 5 picture yet, but he's sure making a strong push for it. He could easily play himself in it by January.

I like Desnoyers, but I would definitely look elsewhere with their higher pick.

I would almost recommend ignoring his production in the Q when judging him, as producing as a 17 year old in the Quebec league should be the bare minimum.

Once you get out of the top 4 though, it's not like you're looking at a slam dunk.

McQueen has a bad back.
Frondell has had 3 big injuries already this year.
Ryabkin has been ice.

I will get some hate for this comment but to me, he is the closest surefire player out of the Q in a while. His game will translate well to the pro and unlike many star forward out of the Q, he is great defensively. What I like the most about him is that he also has a lot of room to get better once he start filling out his frame by becoming stronger and more exposive. He could be a good candidate to develop as a perfect #1/#2 center that all contending team have on their roster.
