Umm.... there was one person ever who played power forward like Eric Lindros and that was Eric Lindros. I have never seen a single person push another person completely out the face-off dot then kick the puck towards his team mate.
Martone is not a power forward. With his size he should have been imposing his will on kids instead of being a perimeter player. His skating is bad, I question his work ethic, and I don't see a high hockey IQ.
The Hawks need to start drafting high IQ players and players who hate losing. Toews, Kane, Keith, Seabrook, and Sharp were warriors. Martone isn't one of those.
So he can't skate and he stays on the perimeter. How did he score 37 goals and 98 points if his hockey sense isn't high then? Did you catch a lot of Brampton games this year? Martone is lauded for his skill and hockey sense by most scouts.
