Shitty year to have a high pick. Im really not enamoured with anybody, not even Misa. Statistically at least one of these guys will probably become a top 6 forward but I wouldnt be surprised if none of them became first liners. So many question marks with each player

Martone: motor is low, reminds me of Laine in that sense. Plays very soft for a guy his size and probably never a line driver. He could pop and become a high end first line playmaker but I can also see him going down like an Anthony Mantha trajectory. You just dont know what youre getting.

Misa: Scores a lot greasy goals that at his size I wonder if hes going to be able to do consistently in the NHL and his playmaking game is not exactly close to what youd want from a top centre. Highest floor but Id be shocked if he's a star.

Frondell: Just dont see high end skill here. Can he pop 30 goals in the NHL one day? Sure. I see a lot more of a 25+25 guy than anything else, Eklund is more talented but albeit limited physically.

Hagens: lack of progession this year certainly at least an orange flag and he's just not what we need more of right now.

Really wish there was a Celebrini, Fantilli type of cant miss top centre prospect this year

NHL Tankathon has him at 21. Even if you like him that’s just horrid value and asset management to take him at 3.

Trade the Toronto pick + something to jump back to 15 or so to take him there.

I'm not too worried about Misa's ability to score greasy goals at the NHL level. It's not like he's coming in right away, and he's not small. I think he'll be able to do some bulking up in college. The college programs are good for that.

I don't expect him to be a star either, but I do think he'd be a great wingman for Bedard.

Between this year and last year it has been unlucky to not have a star sure thing prospect in either draft when hawks are picking at 2 and 3

I think for sure behind Fantilli and pretty close with Carlson but he probably gets the edge playing against men in his draft year and being bigger

Same here. So worrying about getting a top 6 guy may be futile. If we get a good 3rd line C/W then that is all we can do with what is available.

I've been saying all year this draft class sucks, but even Frondell who I've been dismissing is better than Lukas Reichel.

We'll see what happens. I'll cling on to the possibility that Long Island will welcome home their son.

At least it keeps us in the lotto for next year which will hopefully be a better group.

Personally I think a lot of people are sleeping on O’Brien, he has shown tremendous progression over the past two seasons, good size with the frame to add muscle, good skater, very cerebral player and young for the age group. On top of all that, you know the Hawks have seen him a ton since he has played the past two season with Lardis and Vanacker.

I think people are going to be pretty disappointed when the Hawks pass on Martone based on this poll. I see them getting a center this draft. It is very much up in the air on whether Bedard will be a center long-term and you rarely get in a position like this to draft a premium position. Frondell, Desnoyers, or Misa are the guys I see the Hawks clinging to

Frondell probably isn’t a center. Even if Misa is still on the board there’s a chance he’s not either
