My way of slotting future lines night be something like this
Kantserov Bedard Lardis
Boisvert Vanacker
Nazar Moore Slaggert
Misiak Spellacy Savoie

Add in Dach , Safonov , Ludwinski , Greene , Reichel , Hayes , Thompson , James , Felcman , Pharand ,
Marcel , Mustard , Pridham . We definitely need some size up front .
I’m not going to pretend to know how lower round prospects work out and I strongly disagree that you can’t have 2 smaller players on a line.

I could however see a scenario where neither Bedard or Nazar are centers long term.
I’d like to see
Nazar, Boisvert or 25/1st, Bedard as a line.
Nazar isn’t big but doesn’t play small, he has a good shot and plays a tenacious, pesky style that will only improve as he develops “man muscles”.
Bedard’s puck skill is great but it’s his one timer and the ability to put it where he wants it that I’m in love with. With the right supporting cast he’s an Ovi like scorer.

Edited to point out Bedard plays on off side for shooting angle purposes.

2-3 and 4 centers? - the other of Boisvert or 25/1 - Greene and Moore.
Let the rest grow up some and slot them into the lineup where they fit.

Schaefer broke his collarbone last night. He’s been impressive enough that I still wouldn’t hesitate to take him at 1 but an injury like that could have implications (especially if Hagens takes off in the interim)

Man poor kid...

But if this means he could eventually be available at 2 or 3 OA, it could be big for us.

Broken collarbone pretty much never has a lasting impact.

Just watched the injury, and I have to say it seems pretty weird that he didn’t have the intuitive spacial instinct one would expect at this point for a top pick.

Oh I’m not worried at all about the injury long term. Missing that much time means smaller sample size for evaluations though. He already missed the start of the year with mono

I mean, even that play alone looked great. Blew past a dman and got himself a mini breakaway as a Dman. Looks like speed and killer instinct. What’s not to love?
