He’s going to Boston now I thinkOh man if O'Brien is there at 16 would be excellent.

I like Spence’s speed and he has very decent stickhandling. Considering I want more than just an energy player at 16/17 I need to know if he can continue scoring goals in the NHL, as I’m not convinced about his playmaking. I’ll look into him some more.As of right now my two picks are
16 Reschny or Cootes
17 Carter Bear or Malcolm Spence
I am not the biggest Spence fan though and my only reasoning in selecting him is to have more size/speed in the forward position.
Reschny/Cootes are need but also very talented top 6 center.
Carter Bear is just the player you need to win the cup. A taller Gallagher with more offensive talent. At 17 (injury or not) he is a steal.
Yes. He is a 3rd liner but the Habs need that size up front.I like Spence’s speed and he has very decent stickhandling. I don't see a possibility where Mrtka is available at 16I want Mrtka and Nesbitt for 16 and 17, please.
What about Lakovic and Nesbitt for the Habs @16 & 17?
Would be crazy if Athe first 4 picks were all Canadian with 1 Quebecois too![]()
NHL mock draft: Lottery surprises shake up top-5 outlook
The New York Islanders and Utah Hockey Club shook up the draft order Monday night with a pair of unlikely lottery wins. With the first 21 draft selections finalized after the lottery and Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, let's take a new look at how the picks could play out in...www.thescore.com
Interesting....

people have brought up Nesbitt and i don't like him at our current picks. a lot needs to go right in his development for him to be a top 6 player. i don't see the good skating that some people have brought up. his stride is heavy, choppy, and he lacks agility. i find that he processes things a little slowly when he's got the puck in stride.
if the Habs trade one of the current 1st round picks in a package for a roster player and use some 2nds and 3rds to move back into the late first round, i'd take a flyer on him.

Lakovic is way way better than Nesbitt.Wouldn't take both, both have the same issues.

The problen with Nesbitt is that he might not even reach the NHL at least with Lakovic you know he has the talent. I would stay clear of both but gun to my head I have to choose one. I am going Lakovic. He is softer, though.

I'm still clueless about the prospects but as long as we draft players that aren't softies, I'll be happy lolHe is softer, though.
I have no concern about him 'dominating' in junior I do not see how he could reach the NHL with his clear lack of pace, that's my issue. I have seen so many great talent fail to become NHL players even though they had size and talent but that lack of pace is very hard fix.Nesbitt looked to have develop nicely throughout the year despite playing secondary role on a stacked team with limited minutes. I think he has a fair chance of breaking out next year with more minutes.
