NBA 2025 NBA Playoffs

Harden was averaging 35 and winning MVP during Lebron, Steph and KD's prime; the man was still a lazy piece of shit who played zero D.
Harden has never led a team to the NBA Finals. He got there once, in 2012, and he wasn’t even a starter. Luka led a team with one other star (Kyrie) to the Finals when he was 24. And having said that, trading a 26 year old Harden for a 32 year old AD would also have been an awful trade.

People cannot seriously believe that was not an awful trade for Dallas. It’s ludicrous.

Getting clowned by Rudy in an elimination game at home. These playoffs have been great to watch outside of Cavs/Heat.
That's what happens when you have a small team with no bench plus LeBron James and Luka Dončić not doing anything defensively while also overplaying them.

The Lakers should be embarrased going to the playoffs with no rim protection.

"great to watch"

Eastern conference was a slog and there were only two good series in the west still going on.

What are you talking about? Most of the series were blowout losses or uncompetitive.
There were two blowout series with the Thunder and Cavs, and the former games 3 and 4 were great to watch. Game 1 and game 4 of Nuggets/Clippers are arguably game of the year. Only game 3 was a blowout, the other 3 came down to the end. Knicks/Pistons each game was close. The other two west series have not been uncompetitive and even Celtics/Magic were competitive games for the most part If you watched the games this year you would know there have more fun exciting games. Game 5 in Indiana was wild as well. You'll have to find a new team now the Lakers are out.

I don't get it.
The tweet references a historical moment in 1996 when Bob Hill, then head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, was fired after a 3-15 start despite injuries to key players like David Robinson.

Gregg Popovich, the Spurs' general manager at the time, took over as head coach after firing Hill, a move Hill reportedly challenged with the quote, “If you think you can coach this team better than me, then f***ing do it.”

Popovich’s tenure began with a tanking strategy in the 1996-97 season, leading to a 20-62 record, which allowed the Spurs to draft Tim Duncan in 1997, a cornerstone of their future success.

After that season, Popovich led the Spurs to 50+ wins for 20 consecutive seasons, winning five NBA championships and establishing one of the most successful coaching runs in NBA history.

The image in the tweet, a viral TikTok meme of LeBron James reacting with a skeptical expression, humorously represents Popovich’s dominance, implying he far exceeded Hill’s challenge.

Bob Hill’s coaching career continued after the Spurs, including stints with the Seattle SuperSonics and as an assistant with the Phoenix Suns, but he never achieved the same level of success as Popovich [Web ID: 1].

The tweet connects to a broader narrative on X about Popovich’s strategic tanking, as seen in Thread 1, where users note his calculated moves to secure high draft picks like Duncan and later Victor Wembanyama in 2023.
