Castroneves still great on the ovals. Its his one race a year now in IndyCar. He is going for his record breaking 5th Indy 500 win. (Although IndyCar cheated Paul Tracy a while back but thats a whole different discussion lmao, it was politics during the split)

But yes, those are going to be the guys to watch, along with Oward

Fastest lap so far is 233.9 mph by McLaughlin. Thats avg speed btw. Ridiculous speed at this track

Another big one in practice. McLaughlin bins it in turn 2, the car is junk. One of the pole favorites for later today.

So how do they rate the speed in qualifying for the Indy 500? I see glimpses of speed at 234-235 but the top speed listed is 233.6 on the leaderboard

F1 race was ok but a bit fortuitous for Verstappen with the safety cars.

Average speed over the 4 laps

So if you see a difference of like .1 mph of a between two drivers. We are talking millimeters of a difference

That was a heck of a run. Especially because he had to feather the throttle a few times . I really like the telemetry they show

There was one chance late for Piastri to close the gap on Verstappen and he couldn’t so for whatever reason Verstappen had the advantage today. Russell was complaining about a broken suspension component in thr rear. It’s fun to see Williams being competitive.
