Plus an all time great OBP which seems better for longevity than a player who is all SLG.

I'm not betting a dime he comes here --- but I think they're way more involved than I ever expected.

There's logic and reasons for him to go to any one of 5 places -- as always it will come down to who he's most comfortable with.

Crossing my fingers the Dominican influence carries weight.

I think Boras probably wants it announced on the 8th, so it's all anyone will talk about on the first day of the winter meetings, and then he can focus on trying to get his other top guys signed over the remaining few days. And, to me, that means anything you hear before the 5th/6th is just BS because I don't think he's brining Soto into the negotiating/decision-making until a couple teams are left.

While I hate the idea of trading Casas, L/R balance does become a problem if you're rolling a top four of Duran-Soto-Devers-Casas. Either you move Story into the three hole to break it up or trade Casas for an equivalent rightie.

Makes sense.

I’d rather it be Adames, Arenado or Bregman up there instead of story.

Either move Casas in a package for Arenado….or sign Adames or Bregman and move Casas for pitching.

Regardless of what happens, I’m getting excited about the season.

I personally don't find the ghost runner or pitch clock to be gimmicky at all

But this? Oh I despise the idea of a golden at bat rule.

As for Soto...they can't be interest kings again on us can they? By all accounts they are truly in on him. Get it done. It's not gonna go over well when fans see all this smoke and then Lucy moves the football yet again.
