Here we go again. I am hoping to attend and will be recording the conversations as best as I can like I have in years past.

I have, I believe, three extra spots if anyone here wants to go.

If anyone has any questions they may like asked feel free to post them in here. Maybe i'll ask one. Maybe someone else on here going will ask one.

"The organization had been trying to collect as many early round picks in the 2025 draft because they viewed it as such a great draft class. Now, that seems to be no longer the case. How did you guys completely whiff on this?"
#crickets....

"when are you guys going to join the modern NHL and let go of the past ?..

nm i know the answer...

There seems to be a lack of urgency in your organization when it comes to building your prospect pool. For instance, you made 7 picks in a 7 round draft in ‘24, in the middle of a supposed rebuild. The Hockey Writers recently ranked your farm system 21st in the league, down from 16th. Is accumulating prospects in a rebuild important to you, or is it more important to hold on to your 30yo players in the name of culture?

I'd say ask them why they didn't claim Pelletier when he was on waivers if they were eyeing him, but I'm pretty sure they'll give you some bs propaganda non-answer so don't bother.
They’ll just say they didn’t have roster room or something.

The better way to frame it is why to ask them how we got to a point where they’re trading two scoring forwards for guys who were waiver fodder when it was obvious by the end of last season that they weren’t part of the future. Torts gave up on Frost, if not before, in the final game of the season. Why did it take until January to move him when that was transparently identified in April?

it would be so fun to hear the stammering asking them to work backwards from farabee being a cap dump to his extension in 2022. (the same year of the deslauriers signing, which briere championed)

questions generally around lack of consequences for non-players f***ing up. either you f***ed up with your negotiation or evaluation or development. and yet all the people involved in that (minus chook) are still punching in.

and the f***ing power play. how the hell can rocky thompson still have a job?

it would be interesting to frame some of these things in the context of the birds: i think the concepts of the eagles roster maneuvering and construction far exceed brieres and jonesys comprehension; so maybe stick to the importance of firing and hiring and retaining the right staff, from coaches to number crunchers.

Their one-word answer: "Security!"

Actually, HC, I would like for you to bring a very large container of liquid -- alcohol or not, your choice -- and a shot glass. Whenever the word "culture" is said, loudly proclaim "Drink!" and take a shot.
