Obviously you’re not a hockey guy, Miller didn’t crash the net going to fight specifically Parayko. Parayko isn’t a fighter, he’s one of the nicest guys in the league. Miller crashed the net looking to fight anybody and it just happened to be Parayko he crashed into and obliged and obviously he wasn’t gonna win that with Parayko’s size and strength but that’s Monday morning QBing.

The only rationale for Kreider I can come up with is that they didn't want Matt Tkachuk to play the net front on the powerplay and possibly f*** his injury up even more but you're relying on power plays PREGAME is one of the most foolish decisions ever and of course, the hockey gods told them to f*** off and they had 0 power plays in said game lmao. Tkachuk can't do this bullshit where he sits on the bench for half the game in Italy next year. If you remotely feel like you can't play, pull yourself out. It's not a NHL playoff game where your talent will be sorely missed, it's a best on best tournament for a reason.

even for net front I wouldn’t have wanted Kreider, he’s been legitimately bad this year in all situations and Guentzel/Miller or basically anyone else would be better since they can handle a puck at an NHL level. Did you watch the game? He spent the entire time at the faceoff before that trying to ask Parayko to fight. There was 4 other Canadians lined up and he was trying to go for Parayko.

Him, Keller and Robertson will make the roster in 2026. Kreider, Nelson and Trocheck won't.

This Is incredibly wishful thinking. Probably a little naive to think they won’t make similar decisions next year. If it’s not those guys it will be someone else.

Yeah this was a double whammy: one was the decision to dress him over Connor, which is fine if you think he can play through it because that's the culture, but you get another chance to make the right decision by going with the guy who's 6th in the NHL in points right now and they pick a washed 33 year old. I was floored when I saw that Kreider was in and Connor was out.
