2025 F1 Season

So Yuki said hed like to get a podium. And he also asked Horner if there would be team orders if he was leading the race and Max was behind him. He's almost as out of touch with the task he has as all of his new fans are.

People seem to think Lawson was just plain slow over a lap , sector after sector. This is not what happended. Lawson was keeping up with Max for almost all the corners. On both tracks. But there was always one corner that caught him out. It was one corner killing his lap times.

This is why it is so hard to drive. You have to be perfect on every corner. And there is no leeway. Not even Max has done 3 purple sectors in a row on the push laps at the end of qualifying. There was always a green and a yellow because the car was snapping on him..

This is far beyond all the clichés about being "mentally ready" and all that nonsense. Lawson knows how to drive. As his record shows.

Yuki could do better or worse than Lawson. Lawson didn't break the car in half and write off a tub.
One corner doesn't put you last in every session.

Lawson being removed that soon without not getting a chance at tracks he is familiar with was malpractice

But yuki should have been there in the first place.

Did you not watch the onboards? He could never get his tires hooked. He was going to war with his car throughout every lap. It wasn’t just one corner lol

In Australia Lawson was second fastest in the first sector, 6th fastest in the second sector and fourth fastest in the 3rd sector. His first sector was faster than all but Lando, second sector slower than only Leclerc, Yuki, Oscar, Max (by 8/100ths) and Alex Albon.
And in the third sector only slower than Lando, Max (by 0.255) and Oscar.

Yuki had a good FP1. But he didn't get a good lap in on FP2. There was lots of incidents during the session but still. That's what was happening with Lawson too.

Max isn't happy with the car at all. Which was the case in the previous race too.

Hadjar is a speed demon. Lawson wasn't far off.

Russell is second fastest again. He had the fastest laps for the longest in both sessions on both tires. But a Lando glory run put him on top in FP1.

Nobody should be surprised that Hadjar, even with his balls squeezed by his searbelt, is faster than Lawson.
I've always liked Hadjar and thought he was the best F2 driver last season, but I didn't really expect him to get up to speed this quickly. While Tsunoda obviously deserves that Red Bull seat more than Lawson, it would've been nice to have him be Hadjar's teammate to have a better benchmark for him. Now if only that team could come up with a half decent strategy for once.

I can’t believed I stayed up

1-9 start position
&
Everybody finished in the same spot exactly

Zero drama
The only part that was notable was Norris driving in the grass

I don't think Piastri would've ever overtaken Verstappen, or even had a chance, but it's as if McLaren didn't even try to win that race. Why would Norris box on the same lap when he only could've lost a position to his teammate?

At least they did try to get a penalty for Verstappen for... driving straight on the pitlane.
