The Memorial Cup trophy was established by Captain James T. Sutherland to honour those who died in service during World War I. It was rededicated during the 2010 tournament to honour all soldiers who died fighting for Canada in any conflict.

It is not the “Mem cup”.

Croatian LW I've never heard of, apparently.

This shift by shift is all I've seen so don't know much, but eventful game for him. Looks good, decent skater, decent shot, good positioning in this shift by shift. I like the way he generates speed in transition. Looks like he's played a lot in Sweden, so if our Swedish scouts give him the seal of approval, lets grab him!

I'm always intrigued by players from smaller hockey markets, my unsubstantiated theory is that there is a higher probability of the player being a late bloomer and a bit earlier on their development curve than say Canadian players that have more resources available and and may be closer to their ceiling at the draft.
