Is it possible for these folks to take these whiny posts to another thread and they can all high five each other kicking around the same flat soccer ball and have a beverage together??I'm not remotely convinced we're drafting at 15 this year. Questioning if we'll have our 2nd as well. Everything is about how we do next year
The Canucks could trade their first, second and even third round draft pick, and it wouldn't even marginally change how they do next season.I'm not remotely convinced we're drafting at 15 this year. Questioning if we'll have our 2nd as well. Everything is about how we do next year
So will the Canucks deserve the 1st overall pick when they lose Hughes in his prime for nothing?Islanders deserve it. Lost Tavares in his prime for nothing.
The Canucks would never risk 'losing Quinn Hughes for nothing'. And it's unlikely even winning the draft lottery would mean acquiring a player of his caliber. So will the Canucks deserve the 1st overall pick when they lose Hughes in his prime for nothing?![]()
You don't know who's available or what the value of the picks are, let alone know each teams' ins and outs financially or organizationally. The Canucks could trade their first, second and even third round draft pick, and it wouldn't even marginally change how they do next season.
There simply isn't a 'game-changing forward' available either as a UFA or a trade candidate. Those types of forwards--particularly centers--aren't on the block no matter how many draft picks you're willing to trade.
