It will be the best Swede available. That's how PA rolls.
probably boumedienne given where they draft
What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Assuming that we aren't picking in the top 10 it's highly likely that both McQueen and O'Brien will be gone.Roger McQueen
Benjamin Kindel
Jake O’Brien
Ivan Ryabkin
Carter Bear
Brady Martin
Braeden Cootes
All centers (though Bear is more of a winger than a C). whoever is available when we pick, in that order is who I want. I personally would love Ryabkin.
They could trade one of their Dman prospects after they figure out which ones have the most trade value and how the team thinks that they fit in long term but I doubt they do this or that it would be a good value move.Trade what.
Can’t draft too many centersThey could trade one of their Dman prospects after they figure out which ones have the most trade value and how the team thinks that they fit in long term but I doubt they do this or that it would be a good value move.
That being said the Canucks really need potential top 6 centers and they should probably focus on those types this year and next where possible.
With how Fantastic D-Petey, Willander, and Lekkerimaki look would love thatIt will be the best Swede available. That's how PA rolls.
As it should.Unless we win the lottery the first round pick is getting traded
No way. I don't care if they're win now, they need to replenish their young talent at forward and the best way to do that is through the draft. You want to be competitive for Hughes but you also want to STAY competitive for Hughes. As it should.
We draft Sascha Boumedienne and Tom Willander tells us he's finishing his degreeBest Swede Available:
Milton Gästrin?
Maybe we could pluck good old Gudbranson off waivers at some point and create a Gud Wang pairing.it looks like this.
1-4 tier 1.
5-8 tier 2.
9-21 tier 3.
than its the rest.
any pick pick between 9 and like 20 is pretty much the same calibre player. At this point if we still have this pick, I'm guessing we will go with the best available centerman. I'm ok with it. I'm not overally excited. I just want us to draft Hao Xi Wang with our 2nd pick so we can have the dreaded Hughes Wang pairing.
You posted this on Saturday, curious to see if you still feel the same way ?No way. I hope for once they don't treat their 1st rounder like a hot potato and they keep it for heavens sake. I'm so tired of being the most MID team that never has their first rounder. We are not contenders. We are not one piece away.
Oh the lottery would be some somethin!Unless we win the lottery the first round pick is getting traded
Would be the year, Canucks finish 15th and get to pick 5th. Would still be great to get 5th but it just would be Canuck luck to do so.Oh the lottery would be some somethin!
Uh, yeah. You posted this on Saturday, curious to see if you still feel the same way ?
I believe they've changed the way the draft lottery balls fall.....so it's now impossible for a team with the 12th or 13th worst record, to win the lottery and vault all the way to first or second overall.
But just for once, if the Canucks do end up in the lottery, it would certainly be nice if they could actually 'move up' a bit.
It was so depressing year after year to watch Benning the draft lottery, and know in your heart that somehow the Canucks would find a way to drop three or four places in the draft.
another reason to hate the oilersIn 2022 they changed the lottery so teams can only move up 10 spots. All 16 non-playoff teams enter the lottery, though. There are two draws, for the 1st and 2nd pick.
I think a bigger reason was the Devils and Flyers.....In a couple of drafts they actually moved up to draft from the 12th or 13th position, all the way into the top one or two. Of course that didn't help the Flyers, who used that windfall to draft Nolan Patrick. Ouch!another reason to hate the oilers
Well the bigger reason was Oilers tanking too god damn much and they wanted to prevent other teams from doing the same thing.I think a bigger reason was the Devils and Flyers.....In a couple of drafts they actually moved up to draft from the 12th or 13th position, all the way into the top one or two.
