Wouldn’t even want the lottery luck to finally bless us on a draft like this. That would be cruel in itself from all our years of pain.

McQueen scratched from tonight’s playoff game after leaving early the last game injured.
I think he could fall out of the top 10.

Low end top 4 potential. This is a bad draft for defense.
He’s a teenager with a back injury. It looks like he had problems with it last season as well.

I steer clear of McQueen. A ‘lower body’ injury and back injury before being drafted? The kid’s a very talented glass cannon.

Best we can probably do now is like 9th unless we lose the rest of the way. I remember fans complaining how we shouldn’t root to lose and we got danielson and a few spots below michkov and Ryan Leonard came out
We’re probably in the playoffs with michkov ... I hope I’m wrong about danielson and he’s a star lord knows we need it. Michkov will be a star and Leonard just keeps getting nothing but praises when I hear about him
Do we think we actually have a shot at the post season? I don’t ... and I’d rather we get pick 7 cause least we might have a legit shit to move up and if we don’t and stay 6 players are gone and if we do our job we can get a legit player. I’ll be rooting for Kasper,edvinsson and the kids to score but I won’t get overly excited if we win. I’m tired of this losing shit
Get a top draft pick this year to Help the future for the last time , trade the 2026 first top 10 protected and start fixing this team in the off season for good so we can make the playoffs and head towards the cup finals again before in my lifetime

Leonard is a beast. Will put up 70+ in the NHL easy. His game will translate super well.
Washington, after Ovechkin retires, is set up for 5+ more years of contending with Leonard/Miro/Hutson/Pascarak/Protas coming through the ranks.

Yup and he could been a wing or michkov if we didn’t get useless pts down the stretch. Rangers won tonight ... making the playoffs this season with the likes of holl and petry playing and our schedule and all the teams in the mix ahead of us means this season’s toast
Don’t want another repeat of that draft. It’s time to tumble down some draft slots and regroup in the off season

Don’t remind me man. Shitty part is that this draft doesn’t have any talents at Michkovs level. That was a historic slide…kid should have gone 1st overall. Demidov 5th too in 2024 was crazy. 23/24 were the years to be truly bad.

Yup and we collected useless pts to get the 9th ... just noticed the bruins are suddenly 4th they’re doing things the right way . Drafts isn’t as good but that’s what needs to happen this year.
I like our pool we just need guys with that talent on the next level. Asp can be that on d, but if buchelnikov,lombardi etc.. doesn’t become a point etc.. then we’re still lacking

I think he’ll at least be as good as Luke Hughes. That gives Detroit the best future top 4 in the league.

lol. You really need to try looking at this team the way you look at literally every other team.
Parascak hasn’t played a NHL game yet. Leonard has played 2 NHL games. Mirosnichenko has 10 pts in 39 NHL games so far.
The nonstop glazing of other teams is getting real old.

i have some concerns about Danielson but very excited about the rest of our prospects. ASP is our Hughes in a few years. Buch imo has higher potential than all of Washington’s prospects and could be a Panarin 2.0.
i just don’t think ONLY our prospects are good lol
Also - is NHL games the metric for if a team has promising prospects? Are ASP, Danielson, MBN and Buch all chopped liver then? I’m sure you’d agree that’s a weird way to look at prospects lol

I mean props to Washington for having a much better off-season than us and exceeding expectations this season.
I am not envious of their long term situation at all.
