On draft day literally no one talked about Rasmussen having good hands or a good shot. I'm not saying McQueen is a for sure prospect or anything, but if he doesn't hit he isnt going to be a player that reminds you all that much of Rasmussen at all.On draft day Rasmussen wasn't exposed yet just like McQueen isn't yet either. Just like every other prospect who looks like they are sure picks like Zadina etc. It is fair to be fearful of a player like this. He doesn't look like he is a game changer or something we need. I rather push my chips in to get O'Brien or Frondell. We have assets to move up. Trade to Seattle Berniers + #6 (draft Frondell or O'Brien) for Larkin + #9-13. We have to get creative.
For starters, McQueen has an actual mean streak to go with his size. McQueen has as many fights in junior (despite missing time) as Rasmussen has in his entire junior + NHL career. McQueen has a shot. Go read scouting reports on Ras at draft time, no one even mentions his shot, they mention he goes to the dirty areas.
So they each had a back issue and are big basically is the comp? Its pretty far off lol.Ras had a back issue while in GR, McQueen has a back issue as well. Add in height and skating issues, yeah, that is how I came up with the comp. Didn't think it was that far off, jeez.
I dont think either guy has/had skating issues at all either
