I remember the great debate with Bob McKenzie in 2016 where my side was simple: too much emphasis was being put on the WJC regarding the three Finns.

I feel the same way about Brady Martin. I've seen his body of work for 2 plus seasons. He is a top 10 pick IMO. But I also believe some have gone overboard because of the U18's.

The issue I have with them is they try to do their rankings like an actual NHL team does and I think that hurts them.

I still really like Frondell. Impressive frame to grow into, outstanding shot. Put up significant points against men as a 17 year old.

I feel like he projects really well.

What are you basing this statement on?
Have you watched ( live) Misa/Martone or Martin play more than 10 games?
I have and can tell you without a doubt that at this time, Misa will be a first line player and MS will be a first pair dee. Martone is a much better player at this time vs Martin.
Martone has the very likely ceiling of being a first line player, second line for sure.
I would rate Misa and Schaffer at the top tier of this draft, 1A and 1B.
Martone/Hagens/Desnoyers are in the second group with Frondell very close behind them.
After that, most scouts/exec's are all over the board with the next 5 players.
I agree with Dom that O'Brien is an excellent playmaker and might be the best in the draft as a playmaking center.
I would rate him higher than Martin.

I like everything about him except his zone entry stats. They seem pretty atrocious. But the shot, the body and the path he’s been on all seem to suggest he will be an elite player but maybe he will need a player like Taylor Hall on his wing to take the heavy lifting in the transition game?

was watching a vid of him and Eklund being interviewed on the same panel, kid looks like he already has a pretty solid NHL frame
