NHL 2025 DRAFT - Bruins pick 7th III

Wow, man. Thanks for posting those.

It's so weird how the eye test tells me half of those are 100% spot on while the other half are just crazy. I'd love to see one normal person view a random Roger McQueen game and come away with that rosy an impression. I'd estimate McQueen can look like that in one out of every four of his shifts (not effing way defensively though), but in those other shifts, he can make you wonder who the hell has him ranked high enough to go in the first round.

I also though I was missing something with Frondell, but that evaluation is just brutal.

Still, I'm sure those evaluations are going to open some eyes. Excellent contribution.

McQueen participated in all the tests at the combine.

"Pain-free. 100% healed. It was a fracture. No issues for the future".

I see his combine changing things. He did well and didn´t show any limitations. I wouldn´t be surprised if a team in front of us chooses him. A center with size and physicality is still a hot commodity. Still convinced that there will be a very good prospect to pick for the Bruins at 7th overall. Looking forward to the draft.

I'm really hoping the six GM before Boston forgot how really good Hagens is. I'm actually fooling myself into believing it could possibly happen.

Dream scenario first four picks for me would be Schaefer, Misa, Martone and Martin. If Frondell, Hagens and Desnoyers are all on the board when the Bruins are 3 picks away I will pass away from priapism

Martin confirmed to reporters that the Bruins were among the teams to take him out to dinner. The others were the Utah Mammoth, Nashville Predators and the Philadelphia Flyers — all who have higher picks in the draft than Boston.

I think we draft whichever of McQueen or Martin is still on the board at 7. Both kind of scream Bruins.

If both are still there, they'll take McQueen (one of the ONLY top line C projections).

IF Desnoyers is somehow still there (goes Shaef, Misa, Hagens, Martin, Martone, Frondell for example), then they're going to have a heck of a choice in front of them.

I’d be ecstatic with Eklund but likely Martin, O’Brien, and possibly McQueen going before 6 and pushing up one of consensus top 6.

I understand if they take McQueen but when it’s over Eklund I’m going to like DeBrusk over Connor feeling

I liked DeBrusk in that draft but at 20

I would be very happy with any of Eklund, Frondell or O´Brien. I would be okay with Martin but I still think the before mentioned have a higher ceiling.
I’m right with you - only difference is if 4 teams staffs are that high on Martin I’ll defer but if any of Desnoyers, Frondell, even Hagens pop through I’m on them~ then Eklund & O’Brien. But I’ll be very good with Martin as well. McQueen I won’t hate it but there will be multiple of the others available

Me
Desnoyers
Frondell
Hagens
Eklund
JOB
Martin

All hell yeh

McQueen
Mrtka
Aitchenson

Will embrace legit but think 2-3 spots early

Different level of competition for Frondell (and, to a lesser degree, Hagens for that matter)

The slot passes and expected primary assist numbers really pop on Martin and make you very curious what his numbers would have looked like on a better team with someone that can finish (like O'Brien has, for instance).
Martin is not a good passer. It’s ok, it’s just true. The amount of slot passes without much success checks out.
