WC: 2025 Czech Team

Klapka instead of Kondelik.

Now I am reading that start of Kundratek and Kondelik is uncertain in tonight game. Both might be injured. That sucks big time. I would replace Kondelik with Klapka, but definitely not because of injury, that sucks.

And Kundratek being injured is even worse. That was really another gripe I had with yesterday game, Norway players played like pigs, and there was brutal amount of unanswered calls on us. Reffing was completely laughable yesterday.
That is true. Rulik was really annoyed about it and scheduled a meeting with the organisers today to talk about the refereeing. Apparently the Czechs have put together video showing many very clear-cut situations that should have resulted in a Czech PP but didn't.

Looks like we rather play with only 12 forwards then adding Klapka to the lineup lol. Dont know what coaches have against him.

Also dont know why are we waiting for Kampf. for Hertl sure, but Kampf eventhough he is great of course, havent played a game for almost two months ... kinda risky to send him straight to WCH, if you cant be sure in what form he is now

The loss of Kundrátek is painful. As for Kondelík, Voženílek can replace him as the C. Klapka would be even better replacement if he had any experience with playing C. Pity he is a pure winger. While C usually can play a winger, it doesn't work so the other way around.

Once again back to the Norway game: Both Pastrňák and Lauko were talking about they hadn't been expecting Norway to play that good. In other words they admitted they underrated the team Norway. Which can explain the cold legs during the entire game. You simply have to do everything 100%. Pre-game warm-up, mental preparation and focus, everything. If You don't, your body would let you know you did something wrong. I hope they took a lesson from it and will do everything as they should today. Having better legs than yesterday, they should be set to win vs. Denmark.

12 forwards is a standard line-up. The issue with Klapka now is that he is a pure winger and we needed a replacement for a C.

Kampf was excellent last year. Špaček is an obvious weakness in the lineup. So I'm not surprised that one of the Kampf and Hertl duo is expected. I'm surprised that Klapka isn't playing at the expense of, say, Špaček or Kodýtek..

I am not saying he is not great, but sending him straight to WCH aftrer he hasnt played a game is a bit risky imo. Look how Pasta is struggling so far and he is absolute elite player and havent played only couple of weeks.

I would say yes bring Kampf if he was available from the beginning of the tourney, but waiting for him so he can join the team for two games in group and QF for example is risky imo.

Wait, if Vozenilek can play C then why doesn't he just jump in instead of Kondelik - and Klapka takes the Vozenilek spot? That just seems like an absolutely reasonable thing to do (which is to say I am not expecting it happening).

Yeah right? But instead we will wait for Kampf, who hasnt played for two months and may not be even available, while our another NHL player is sitting in the stands not playing in favor of less skilled players

Dont understand this move at all, and why are we deliberately weakening ourselves like that

Yeah, that's strange. I understand that the argument against Klapka is that he is a big guy and he might be lost on the big rink (as am typing, I am reading people bashing Tage Thompson for his play against the Swiss), but hey, can we at least let him try? It's not like we are playing in the quarterfinals and everything is on the line...

Who is our fifth C? We need him.lol.

It goes sedlak (who is not 💯), Spacek, kodytek, kondelik.

Now kondelik out. So we have 3Cs. That's not good.

My first thought was Necas said earlier in the season that he wants to be a C. Well, here is your chance Marty. 2C! Then add in klapka.

Vozelnik seems like another one? Is Radim zohorna available? Isn't he a good C?

Well there are multiple guys who look like they are lost so far ... our performances are far from great, no reason not to try different players .. besides he looked really good in Brno. Really dont know what are we waiting for here.

We should wait for Hertl, but thats it. Add Klapka to the lineup and let him play.

I guess we can all (or most of us) agree here lol. But again we are no coaches, so I hope our staff has good reason for this and that they know what they doing and that it will pay off lol. Otherwise this will be one of the first things fired on them and bashed on their heads if we fail on this tournament lol

Klapka is clearly not being added. I disagree but he is a pure winger and that is hurting him. I feel he was exactly what we needed in the Norway game as they were dishing out punishment on us. Say hi to Adam.

I also think they are saving roster spot for Hertl. Not sure how many we have left?

Gazda just got the call. Our D is not looking good at all.lol. Hronek needs to get into peak form quick.lol. Losing both kempny and kundratek hurts. I like gazda. No knock on him.

It is funny because we will take Kampf after not playing for 2 months but if kulich became available.. we would say no because he wasn't at the Brno games lol

Btw Swiss - USA game really not going in our favor ... this way we would need to beat USA in order to stay in front of Swiss, cause I really doubt they will lose another game

And I dont know if we can do that. First thing are our questionable performances so far of course, but that can get better and hopefuly will as tourney progresses. What I am more worried about is that we have US in the last matchup in the group, where they will already be at 100% of their game. Swiss kinda lucked a bit in there to get them this early, when NA teams tend to still finding themselves and not playing that great.

I think he would take Kulich straight to WCH at this point. Problem is he will not make it in time for QF even if they lose 3:0 lol. Once again stupid AHL schedule takes action lol, where Rochester has almost two week window between the series .... unbeliavble competition really

I legit don't. He won't be if he became available I think they say need to see him

Seriously who are our C's? Mysak, jenik, zohorna, cernoch... Is a kovarcik a C? Either of them?lol. Sobotka is free lol.

Oilers are starting skinner so Hertl isn't coming.

Because Voženílek was the 13th forward. He wasn't among the 12 guys. I assume if Vegas ties the series vs Oilers, they wouldn't be waiting for Hertl any longer and just add Klapka.

Vozelnik is now our 3C.

Rulik rolls lines so i don't think he sees much if a difference.

I am hoping for a nice clean 5-0 win. I expect a 3-2 frustrating OT battle.

It is too tall bias.. but zadina, Spacek and necas are three if my favs. So seeing them in top 6 together is great.lol
