WC: 2025 Czech Team

Pasta by far the worst player on ice, never though i am going to say that...
He didnt play well today, but in the end he was the one who secured us the extra point, so thats what those elite players are meant to do. Decide the game eventhough they are playing badly lol.

Vej also didnt had a good game, but redeemed himself with wery important stops in OT. But 2 goals were on him today.

Hronek also didnt play well, lot of stupid giweaways, but he created a lot in front also.

Who was pleasant suprise was Zadina and Vozenilek today imo. Spacek also played well. Kodytek was ok, but I would still rather see Klapka there lol

I hope Zadina tries NHL again, i´ve heard that Detroit needs superstar goalscorer.

Boy did they really think they drafted one back then lol

I remember really wanting him at 5th overall for the Coyotes, and wanting nothing to do with Brady Tkachuk, who was also projected to be a possibility at 5. When the Senators took Brady, I got so excited, because I assumed that meant that Zadina was ours! Then we took Barrett Hayton out of the blue. I'd heard of him but didn't really know anything about him other than his name. I was so disappointed. Luckily he turned into a useful NHL player for us, at least, but not the "Patrice Bergeron clone" that John Chayka called him.

As for Brady Tkachuk and Filip Zadina, we all know how that one played out.

Enjoyed the game even though we were not the better team for most of the part (but that 2nd period was pure domination). Entertaining game, did not expect it to be high-scoring affair. There's really a lot of room for improvement.

I am still wondering what was Flek thinking in that overtime. Skating alone into 3 players in 3v3 overtime, when puck possession is everything, and in such an important group game. He just decided to give them puck.

I liked what I saw from Spacek-Zadina line, hope they will continue and build on that, we will need them to be real contributors. They are likely going to play with Necas, right? No way they split Cervenka-Sedlak-Pastrnak. Need to spread talent through the lines. Imagine Hertl coming? He is 2 losses away.

Couldn't watch the game, only the highlights. 5:4 OT is not so unusual in the opening game where many things are still raw, some players are nervous, other haven't played a game for weeks (Pastrňák) and so on. I am sure both CZE and SUI will be improving throughout the group stage and their performance will become somewhat more consistent.

Spacek, Zadina and necas could actually be a hell of a line.
