unbelievable....sometimes I really think this team is cursed with bad luck.
If we played Kazakhstan or Hungary I will be like "eh doesnt matter, at least he will rest himself" .. but cmon one of the two toughest matches in group and he cant play because he doesnt have his skates

I am just wondering how many medals would Radim Rulík have to win for the fans to stop criticizing his decisions before the tournament even started. Believe me, that man has been watching Klapka's games much more times than once with a special focus on details we as no professional coaches don't even know they exist in hockey. If a highly experienced successful coach accompanied by highly successful former players like Plekanec and Židlický say a player is not the best guy for the role they need on the team, there is probably something about it. If not, there would be no need for professional coaching at all.

We will see. I an not bashing Rulik nomination by any means, I believe he knows whats he, and the whole staff, doing. I am actually 99% on par with this nominations, he brought the same players I wanted to see in NT, except for one lol.
All I am just saying is that as an amateur fan with outside view, nomination of Kodytek doesnt make sense to me one bit, and him playing instead of Klapka makes even less sense to me. Kodytek is tiny and light, he was practicaly invisible in all those friendlies and has 0+0 in all games so his contribution to attack is literaly 0. Whereas Klapka is huge and strong, can be pain in the ass in front of the net, played great in those two games in Brno and has experience from the best league in the world where he was ending the season as 1st line player. That probably wasnt for no good reason.
I just dont understand this decision as a fan and amateur and I am probably not alone, but yes as you said and I agree, I am no coach, Rulik and his staff are all professionals, so they probably see something we dont and they know what they are doing. We will se in and hour. He can do well and stay in the team, he can be terrible and Klapka will replace him. More so if Hertl joins the team he will replace them both probably, so neither of them will play.
But I am not so keen about this "coach won a gold last year, so shut up and everything he does is unquestionable" thing. Even the master craftsmen can be wrong sometimes.

Exactly, none of us are. And this is exactly where fans go to talk hockey, bitch about coaches, players, refs, fans and everything else. It is literally the point of HF. So you are doing it right.

I do think kodytek is probably a great C and a details guy. I'm not worried about it. I obviously wanted to see necas and klapka today against Swiss. But bar least we have a built in excuse.lok
Terrible period, but luckily only 2:1 .. Vej surely didnt back us up lol ... Pasta penalty shot was embarassement too ... luckily that 5 on 3 was lethal
We must be 100% better than this though, unless we want to see yet another suffering through group stage and then being blown off like a candle in QF by Canada or Sweden
Extremely important extra point towards securing a second place in the group .. now not to f*** it up agains any of the weaker opponents lol .. Germans come to mind as a real pain in the ass

This cracks me up. I was in and out. Sounds like a lot of key guys had shit games. Vej, Pasta and Hronek come to mind. Having said that.. Pasta with that setup in OT was key. Vej had amazing saves in OT and Hronek shut down a NHL Swiss forward very well too!
Thrilled we have 2 points.
Hope Lauko is okay. Hope Necas gets his equipment! He is a huge difference maker for us!
Cervus is just not human.
