He’s been picked in every single pool. What are you smoking?
Clearly some of the best stuff you can get 😂
I did check a couple days ago and posted today.
At the very least, he’s being picked a bit later than he should be amongst the Czech players imo. But that’s expected.

each year since 2022
We have been to 3 semis and have 2 medals in that timeline.

Has Latvia ever made the semis?
Has Latvia ever medalled?
When was the last time Latvia was relegated?

Also, what is the all time record between czechs and Latvia?

Last.. can you please put some context to your 7-6 sample? How many games and what were the scores?

Someone's getting real defensive here.

Some random poster here questioned the point of playing against Latvia before the WJC. I pointed out some extremely dry facts and that Czechia has had some major issues beating Latvia lately.

And I asked for a few more dry facts. Felt like some pretty simple questions, no?

Also, he's not some random poster. He's a regular Czech poster and this is a Czech thread.

So did you want to answer my questions?

I'm trying to figure out what sample you are using to talk about our recent major issues beating Latvia? Hence my questions.

Why the f are we playing against Latvia?
Latvia usually brings a skilled, competitive team, not easy to play against. They are looking a bit weaker this year because many of their players are still very young. But overall, Latvian hockey is no joke. Quite a lot of Latvian players are playing in Czech leagues after all, and Latvia has a very good reputation in Czechia.

He is a troll thought. I remember he said Sweden has 1 good player, Raymond. And that Uk is better than Sweden at hockey.

True. But Czechs are a medal candidate, they should play against toughest possible teams such as Canada, USA, Finland.

You may not want all your games against top competition. Canada did it smartly in that it played its first game against a mid-tier team in Switzerland and then ramped it up with a matchup vs Sweden. They have their last against Czechia.

Playing lesser teams should buy you some time to work on things. Plus, if you play a top team and get dummied, that can be a serious negative heading into a tournament.

Looking at your history of attacking Sweden you should keep your mouth shut. Difference is that comment was friendly chirp, thus you are trolling me indirectly, but people here know who you really are Mr. Troll Trollsson. I am the most direct and real person on this forum, so stop destroying my flawless reputation.

Shut it already! Your best player is Erling Haaland and he can´t even skate.

That's my view too. I don't even like that we are playing Canada tonight. That's not a test that's a pit of despair.lol I've actually been to a game like this many years ago.. it was nuts. London Gardens and exhibition between Canada and the Czechs. 100% sold out and all Canuck. I was the only one in a Czech jersey. They beat the shit out of us.lol And as the score got worse and worse the hits got bigger and bigger.lol So, um, good luck tonight!

Raymond is excellent. I notice you've changed tune recently... now you are Captain Sweden? I just want to make sure so I know how to reply to you!

He’s always been Captain Sweden. It’s the old reverse-jinx.

This might finally be Sweden’s year though! I think they’re third favorites. Neither Canada or USA are that strong either for their typical standards.

Those 3 are on a different tier for sure. If I were betting money, there are your medalists.

I do really like what Finland is bringing as well. Most of their drafted players are top 3 rounds. I would not be at all surprised if they made the final. And honestly welcome it considering how bleak Finlands near future looks.

But I also don’t care if they don’t. They’ve been good long enough.
Hope that one day soon here we will be considered the favourites against them.

I feel like their 4 nations squad has a better chance at a 'medal' to be honest. I'll never discount the FInn's but their posters on here are not very high on them right now. I would be happy for them if they did win it. I have the Finn's with us in the 'pain in the ass' tier

Medal tier
Canada
US
Sweden

Pain in the ass tier
Czechs
Finns
Slovaks

so watch the Swiss, Latvians and Germans medal.lol I did note that Latvia has been in 2 of the last 3 quarters which is great for their program.
