I just hope I'm not coming across as a supporter of the cuts. I'm not! I was pissed and am pissed. I am on record as saying I'm more pissed about Mrtka as our RD side is weaker. I wanted him at 3RD to start tourney.

I can totally picture Benak with Sale and Stancl to be honest.

I'm just trying to explain the coaches thinking or what I think they are going for. I've really enjoyed the last 3 tourneys and think we are playing very nice hockey. So I'll trust the process. But I don't like it.

My own theory and just my own.. we had 4 undrafted players that we were all considering for the nomination. The 2 that stayed in Europe made the team, the 2 that left didn't.

The guy on top didn't make the cut.lol It could also be size or his USHL performance but it just seems personal to me.

But, and I think all us Czech posters agree, it's time to trust the process and cheer! I do like the team a lot.

I sure hope I don't have to start standing up for your brain trust again, I just finished doing that at the last whc, and frankly........that was more then enough for me.

I mean, i've got enough to worry about with Canada, don't stretch me too thin.

We like the team.. there will be no 'if benak was here' if we don't medal. It's a great problem to have. Despite most of us pissed about no Mrtka or benak.. almost no one hates any player on the roster. Except Marty.. simek really pisses him off lol

Now to your fans.. and I think Canada is the fav ane expect gold for them.. I can almost see the 'its not fair, no celebrini and bedard' being posted haha

If any nation is missing more talent than that, I'd like to know who.lol

Good luck. Don't hurt our boys in exhibition. Save it for the finals!

In a year looks like our best squad of all time. I know you know this too. Benak, Mrtka, Novotny, Poletin, Galvas, Jiricek, Fibigr, Cihar, Curran - it's a nice looking squad. I expect Benak to go molten at that one as an undrafted C.lol

Not getting into the Badinka drama but he's still eligible too! They need to sort that out. Dvorak is back this year. I hope Badinka is next year. This year was a lost cause for whatever reason. I think he'll be in the AHL.

Unfortunately no. He’s a late 05 born. This was his last year/chance.

What’s interesting though is I noticed he was on the roster at the 5 nations tournament in August.
Did anybody get to watch that?

I'm more likely to see Badinka in the NHL than in a Czech jersey aren't I?

I'll be honest, I have barely seen him play at all. He sounds great and like exactly what we need. Oh well, enjoy the Charlotte Checkers Dominik.. hope you make the show and help the adult team in 2030 at the best on best Olympics. Maybe even 2026.

Latvia is probably the weakest team in the tournament on paper together with Kazakhstan. So this exhibition game really meant nothing. It was good for the players to score a few goals, make some nice plays, also practice PP and PK. But the standard of this team should obviously be on a completely different level of the game.

We played them in exhibiton last year and it was 4-3 and then we eliminated Canada and won bronze after putting up 8 on Finland. I really don't read much into these. No injuries and get Jiricek going. Most the goals looked like nice solo efforts so the skill was nice. Galvas looks to be all over the ice as well.

Yes, I was looking forward to seeing him play. I was curious after the coach didn't nominate him for the championship last year and what his approach to the game would be and so on..
