WJC: 2025 Czech Team

Curran is a 6'3, PPG player at 18. Simek is 19, 5'8 and under .5 PPG in a weaker league.
I have nothing against Simek and wish him well but Curran would've been a much better choice (drafted player as well).

OR

If we are dying for a small player.. he has the same dimensions as Benak.

I'm not sure what it is but my guess is that he is an elite PKer and that is his role. That is the only thing I can think of.

Rewatching the game. Holinka is awesome man. So many good possessions going forward and great defensive plays. He stole the puck many times and moved it forward.

Not sure why Mastalirsky is on top line. He didn’t make 1 good play all game.

I’d do this.

Šale - Holínka - Jecho
Štancl - Sikora - Novotny
I didn't notice top line much but thought Mastalarisky was a bad fit. Puck was just flying off his stick and no sustained pressure. That could also be that we were playing Canada though.lol

I like your idea because Holinka and Jecho already play together. I keep wanting Stancl on line 1 though. Still waiting for some cuts... 3 I believe...

My guess is Husiensky, Simek and Cihar. Not the 3 I want cut but that is my guess.

No one knows and its confusing all czech posters, that guy will never play even 2nd czech league, he is completely below average. But I guess Augusta knows.

But shh, you are not allowed to criticise any of his decisions here lol
I would say that you are somewhat contradicting yourself in this post alone
I wish you a nice Christmas :xtree:

After watching last night, 2 of those 3 would be my picks. Not sure on Cihar. Never seen him play.

Him and Volas were not playing but I'm not sure it means they are cut. I assume Mastalrsky on line 1 and Husieinsky on top pair was an experiment of some sort. Or having Simek out with 2 minutes left in a very odd sequence of game costing events.lol

Second line is the third line and who is the guy playing with Galvas. That instantly makes it the third pair.
My short answer is NOT RADIM MRTKA.lol I'm not mad.

Dont know much about the player. Curious if he makes final cuts. Our D looks to be like the OIlers.. a definited Top 3, missing 2RD and then good 5/6 D depth. Galvas, Dvorak and Jiricek are clearly going to be busy! None of them really stood out yesterday.

The good news is Czechia have more reliable goaltending!

And of course no McDrai.

I think two will be cut so hopefully not Cihar. If he gets cut, it's once again our staff not having the skill to use a player right. I don't want to be that guy again, but you telling me that guy who plays first line in ELH with men, doesn't have his place on freakin U20 level?

I'd change Novotny for Hradec. He was outstanding on the forecheck.
That’s ok too but Hradec is fine in 3rd line C. Novotny has a bit more offensive creativity. I thought he looked quite good and if given more minutes could have made more of an impact imo. But that being said, that line with Felcman had some decent looks. They may just keep them together. Really liked Felcmans game.

I actually like Maštalířský. He is not exactly great with the puck but skates well and is reliable as a part of the team defense. A bit like the former captain of the Czech men's team, Tomáš Rolinek.

You have some Slovaks too. Plus you picked up bro and hollo from my oil. It's a nice retool

Really like Dvorsky and Pekarcik on Slovakia too, and Stenberg and Lindstein on Sweden. I’m disappointed Snuggerud is too old this year. Im happy with how the re-tool is going. Looking forward to watching the Czechs.

I actually had to look it up to make sure all those guys were in fact, Blues prospects. It seems impossible that they have that many bluechip prospects, but they do... and more. Holy!

Their prospect pool has been flying under the radar for a while.

Has the final roster been announced yet??
No. Think we will find out tomorrow before Swiss game. Curious what they do. Curious what the lines are too. Not sure I have a full grasp on what coaches want.

Expected names out of the lineup except for Cihar, not playing him is stupid imo, but I don't want another round of arguments here lol.

What's more strange is that it seems we are playing only with 12 forwards tonight, giving us no room if someone gets injured.
