Are Avs fans going to turn every one of these finalist threads into Tolstoy-length novels about their player who wasn't a finalist who had no chance of winning anyway? When does the Norris list release? Should be a fun thread to read if it happens there.
TRENT MINER IS A HERO IN THIS HOUSE

Man why does everyone hate Logan Thompson so much. He should have won Vezina this year, started for Canada, and chosen instead of A. Hill, yet here were are.
He ran over an HF member during a snowstorm once

I'll say Swayman, but I'm definitely biased.

My argument as to why is he dragged the Bruins to the playoffs, his analytics are some of the best in the field. The boxscore stats favor Vasy, but I am less moved by SV% and GAA than ever before tbh. By those markers though, Vasy will probably win the award regardless. Sorokin's analytics are similar to better than Swayman's, but it's been a bit since the Vezina has gone to someone who's missed the playoffs.

Sorokin finished poorly, Vasilevsky finished strong. Not surprising. Was Sorokin's to lose...and he lost it.

Coach and goalie of the year? And a Hart candidate?

Surely Tampa won their division, right?
Shh....you're interrupting a media narrative. You know that can't happen in our modern times.

This is actually a bad decision. He wasn't close to being the best in any advanced stats. He started a lot of games for a really good team and lead the league in wins. This is like how baseball used to award the Cy Young in the 90's before they got smarter.

What's funny is people complained about Cooper's Jack Adams and will further use this as an argument against that, when him creating a great defensive team from that roster is actually insanely impressive and got Vasi this award.
