Right, the obvious choice is to go with Bussi. But for Anderssen to not even be on the bench for backup - what’s the dealBrindy knows better.
Boy this post sure has aged well. Funny, havent seen much of this poster as Carolina has taken over the series. So the lowly VGK have already put up more of a fight against the Canes than any team from the East?
Huh, I thought they were mediocre and this series would prove East > West supremacy
Bussi is significantly better than Anderson. Carolina was winning the early rounds DESPITE Anderson. He was facing like 12-18 shots per game and still giving up 3-4 goals.Brindy knows better.
Bussi seems to be doing just fine. And the fact that both teams made it to the finals without a high paid goalie proves that point anyway. For all of the scuttlebutt about “you don’t need a high paid goalie to make it to the SCF” there sure seems like a lot of questions about both goalie tandems this series.
It’s because I was totally wrong and have hid my head in shame.Boy this post sure has aged well. Funny, havent seen much of this poster as Carolina has taken over the series.
If only the Islanders were built like Carolina - instead, they have one of the best goalies in the world, Matthew Schaefer, and a team of old also-ransBussi seems to be doing just fine. And the fact that both teams made it to the finals without a high paid goalie proves that point anyway.
my predicted response: ...filler, filler, Barzal, more filler. To stop poking fun at other posters though -
@Throttle, I’m curious (and this is meant in sincerity) - Carolina is one of the many teams you often mock (Devils, Avalanche, etc.). What are you thoughts on their potential upcoming Cup win?
Let’s see if they win first. CAR finally has secondary scoring and a ‘solid’ backup, but their competition in the East was mediocre to weak. That’s sometimes how teams can win. The league is also playing in their favor than against it, which has historically been part of their problem. Credit to them, if they win, they stuck to a plan and waited it out.To stop poking fun at other posters though -

The Steelers won 2 Super Bowls, they didn’t play NE in either trip.
Especially with pig f***ers for fans.I don't love Vegas by any stretch, but I don't know how so many of you are ok with a divisional rival winning the Cup. f*** that team.
People are excited for the "new formula."I don't love Vegas by any stretch, but I don't know how so many of you are ok with a divisional rival winning the Cup. f*** that team.
Because any team that plays that sorry sack of shit sitting back on their heels system of play or any form of it even if one coach removed from Cassidy should NOT be lifting Lord Stanley.I don't love Vegas by any stretch, but I don't know how so many of you are ok with a divisional rival winning the Cup. f*** that team.
