  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
All of these players will (should) receive invites and stand an excellent chance of making the roster

OHL Territory
Milojevic, Pelosi, Daley, Bergeron, Semetsis, Aucoin, Thibodeau (Canadian but born in the U.S.), Conboy, Jackman, Deanovich,

WHL Territory
Schnieder, Fitzhenry, McArthur, Thoreson, Spehar, Guiterrez

QMJHL Territory
Meyer, Sears, Pandalfo, Davis

The bolded players are guaranteed locks
Thanks!

Here is another projection I found from a couple weeks ago, in case folks were wanting to start to see some more names that might be interesting to follow. The linked post also has "other" names to watch for forward, defense and goal in addition to the projected roster.

Is Landon Jackman, Barret Jackman’s son? I see he played high school and juniors until this season in the St. Louis area. EP doesn’t say. Maybe I’m making a correlation out of a coincidence. Kid is huge…

Even if not, legacy and sibling names all over the place.

Love this list. Thanks for sharing.

I could easily see some of those bubble kids making the team, of course I've not seen all those listed.

Thoughts on Drew Roscoe at SSM? The kid has the size folks have to love but he was also really solid last year in other areas of his game.

Love that the list has Scuderi, Pelosi, and Berard. Not sure that Berard is better than Yakub but his game is really strong.

With the CHL now NCAA eligible, I wonder if any bubble guys who might not be that thrilled with a depth role on the NTDP might decide to go to the CHL to "drive the bus" on an individual team & play big minutes, & then still go to whichever NCAA program they choose. Just something to consider.

That forward lineup is loaded. And there is certainly a chance some of those bubble players make it. Zasada, Grubb, Cooper will be hard players to cut. Pellegrino is an interesting one, he is a Johnny Gaudreau clone - small, quick, very slippery and knows how to score.

I think there are a few of those bubble players who are already dead set on CHL. Would be surprised if Tverdovsky, Santa Maria, Barch in particular don't go CHL. Won't be shocked to see Daley Jr go CHL either.

I've asked around and found no information. I even emailed a few folks at the NTDP and they don't bother to respond.
I would assume that NTDP coaching staffs may have some arguments about a few players to give invites OR there may be some administrative issues.

Anyway it is taking longer time than I expected. I will post about it when I hear something

Please do. I'd like to travel to watch but they don't make it easy.

It starts to send out invitations today. I am not sure these invites were done or more invites will be sent out early next week.

Now is when you start hearing of kids being invited. Also kids being offered formal spots on the team, which is probably a lot more relevant now to make sure they don’t jump ship to CHL. Don’t be fooled, this team is already picked by now. Just depends on who plans on reporting.

Invitations have already been sent. Rumor is that one high end Minnesota kid has turned down the offer to sign in the Dub (hearing either Portland or Wenatchee).

We shall see

Finn Spehar would probably fit that bill. Portland pick in the last US Bantam draft. Just guessing though based on the attributes you listed.

Edit: Actually based on that chart above Fred Schneider would probably be the better name. Portland pick as well.

I'm going to press for a name from source but if it is Schneider that would be a massive loss for the NTDP as he is widely considered one of the best if not the best 09 U.S. born prospect.

He is not one of the best, nor the best 09 prospect. He isn't even the best 09 prospect out of Minnesota. If the team started play tomorrow he probably makes the team, but in a bottom 6 role. This likely attributed to the decision.

Respectfully disagree! Curious, who do you rank as the best Minnesota 09??

Fitzhenry, multiple tiers ahead of anyone else in Minnesota right now

I like Fitzhenry but multiple tiers ahead???? Really??

Schneider won a state championship and was a solid contributor to that Edina team as a freshman, a pretty significant achievement. He's performed quite well in the Elite league against players 2-3 years his senior. I can see someone making the argument of choosing Fitzhenry over Schneider by a hair or two but by multiple tiers???

Also, for the benefit of the lurkers,.....I was just told an elite Minnesota kid refused a NTDP invite, I don't know who and Schneider may very well be one who accepted the invite.

Puck Preps lists Schneider as the 12th best American player and 8th best forward born in 2009. They have Fitzhenry at 28. They list Schneider as the second best Minnesotan behind Max Dessner. Have no clue how accurate or inaccurate that is, but some added context.

Yes, Fitzhenry and Pelosi are the class of this age group at this point. Its by more than a hair. I would refer to @Oak on this as he seems pretty involved in the 09 loop. But dont get him started on puckprep rankings!
